No, I do not think I have any silk in my collection. But I do have quite a few spices in my cabinet! And yes, I do use them. This book was an eye opener. For it's brevity, it contained a lot of good information.Knowing more about what had to happen to bring us things we often take for granted was very refreshing and insightful. Also, it was enjoyable to hear the names of people and places that I had read of before but now looking at them from a different angle. This helps me to get a more complete picture of these subjects. Thank you for consistently bringing me stimulating and eye opening information. This is a well-written, concise history of an extremely important trade route between Europe and Asia. It was used, not for the exchange of goods, but also for the exchange of ideas and culture. Highly recommended! I was aware of the Silk Road and of Marco Polo, but knew little of them.
